Hi
I need to strip some specific characters from cells of text eg if the cell contents was

A blue dog (canine) was called spot's

I need to strip the ( ) & ' so it would read

A blue dog canine was called spots

I know I can use multiple substitute statements but is there a way to do it in one go, tried

=SUBSTITUTE(A1, {"(",")","'"},"") but that spills the result

Thanks

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
What version of Excel are you using?

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

In that case how about
Excel Formula:
=CONCAT(TEXTSPLIT(A2,{"(",")","'"}))
