Having trouble getting this to work so that it add the sum to the end of column G:

lastrow = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("HOURS BY ID").Cells(Rows.Count, 2).End(xlUp).Row
ThisWorkbook.Sheets("HOURS BY ID").Range("G" & lastrow + 1) = Application.WorksheetFunction.Sum(ThisWorkbook.Sheets("HOURS BY ID").Range("G2:G" & lastrow))

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Your lastrow variable is calculated fro col B, not G.
Try:
Rich (BB code):
lastrow = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("HOURS BY ID").Cells(Rows.Count, "G").End(xlUp).Row
