In column A I have a 2 Letter Customer code. In column B I have a number of items ordered. I am looking for a formula that will look for the Customer code in column A and give me the total items ordered in column B. Thanks

### Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.

Try

=SUMIF(A:A,C1,B:B) where C1 houses the code to look for
