A colleague tells me that he no longer sees the sum of a block of selected cells in the bottom of his computer screen. Does anyone know what it is that he has done to turn it off and how it can be turned back on again.

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
2 possibilities

1. Click on "View" then make sure "staus bar" is ticked

2. right click on the status bar and see if "none" is checked. If so just click on "Sum"
