Sumif for criteria in one column not adding up I am just starting Excel (1 week in) and have to add these criteria. I used =countif(A15:A19,"moderatelyincreased") as the formula and got zero which it is obviously not correct. I tried =SUMIF(A15:A19,"moderatelyincreased") and failed. I am not sure if it is spacing or if I don't have the right formula, but I am clueless at this point. Can someone guide me. Greatly appreciate. This assignment is due Sunday, Lynette

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I recommend you post your sample data using XL2BB. You're more likely to get a faster solution. Also, people can't tell from the picture which range is A15:A19.

From the surface, the criteria must match exactly as in the count range including spaces and capitalization. There's also an option to use wildcard but not sure what's the objective is until we see more.
