Can anyone point out the mistake I've made in the formaula highlighted above?

Thanks

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
=sumif($C$4:$C$428,H5,and($E$4:$E$428,"x",$D$4:$D$428))

Can anyone point out the mistake I've made in the formaula highlighted above?

Thanks
Gary
If you're using Excel 2007 or later you can use the SUMIFS function.

=SUMIFS($D$4:$D$428,$C$4:$C$428,H5,$E$4:$E$428,"x")
