Hi,
I am using the following formula to return the number 1, basically it says if the cells contains anything at all, return 1:

=IF(M5<>"","1","")

I am trying to run a subsequent 'sumif' using the returned number 1 as the cell being 'summed'. However, I am always get zero returned.

I know the sumif is working fine, as when I change the 1 (from the above formula) to just a purely number, and not a formula, it is counted.

Can someone help? I assume I am not returning a 1 correctly in the original if statement.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
