Hello,

The following problem.

In columns B, D and F is data of locations (London, Amsterdam, eg)
In columns C, E and G is the sales data of the locations (Euro's).

I'am trying to calculate the total sales using the SUMPRODUCT function but it doesn't work.

Example.

London 100 Amsterdam 50
Amsterdam 25 London 100
Amsterdam 50 London 25

If I calculate the total sales for London, 100 + 100 + 25, and for Amsterdam, 25 +50 50.

I cann't put the data in one column.

Any idea ????

Excel Facts

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
That will work. But actually I have 15 sets of data. So this will become a very large formula.

I was looking for a shorter and easier way to do it.

Try something like this...

=SUMIF(B2:F10,"London",C2:G10)

Note how the ranges are offset.
