Hello All,

I was just wondering why two diferent methods of adding multiple cells, why one worked better then the other

When I use "=a2+ad+........." it workes some of the times and not all of the time. But when I use "=SUM(.............)" it works almost all of the time.

Does anyone know the answer to this or is this one of those misteries of the univerce.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
You probably mean getting #VALUE! errors with + but not with SUM. The reason for the error is that + does not ignore text values which cannot be coerced into true numbers. SUM is designed to ignore such values.
