I created templates using the wizards along with database files for each templates. As new sheets are created the database updates perfectly and in Column one is a record of what numbers have been used. Is there a formula iI can put in the template to find the next number to assign automatically each time a template is used.

Thanks a million. This site has taught me so much.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number

=MAX(A:A)+1
