Good day Excelers,

Why would the text formula in C6 not show the correct percentage? Should be -24.3%. Instead, it shows 0.0%:

Book1
ABC
21,681,2121,452,242
3991,453930,115-24.3%
4
5
60.0%▲
Sheet1
Cell Formulas
RangeFormula
C3C3=((B2-B3)/(A2-A3))-1
C6C6=TEXT((ROUND((B2-B3)/(A2-A3),0)-1),IF((B2-B3)/(A2-A3),"0.0%")&""&IF((B2-B3)<(A2-A3),"▲",IF((B2-B3)=(A2-A3),"●","▼")))

Thought I had everything right, but evidently not. Thanks.

Why would the text formula in C6 not show the correct percentage?
Because your rounding it to 0 decimals, which results in a value of 1, you then subtract 1 which gives 0

You need to remember that percents are really decimals, i.e.
24.3% is really .243, so you need to round to 3 decimals.
