The code I wrote for my macro enabled file doesn't stay with the file

I created an Excel workbook to take text from a large table and parse it down to two columns, then make all the text uppercase.
I got it to work just like I wanted it, then shared it on a network drive with my co-workers.
Well, they open the file, but the macro is no where to be found.
How do I attach the code to the file so others can run it?

Thanks...
Jim

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
If their setting don't allow Macros, then they won't be able to use it. Also, just to verify, you DID save it as an .xlsm? And, was the Macro saved in the Workbook, or your PERSONAL Macros?

I did save as a .xlsm, but the macro seems to stored in my personal, hence my question;
How do I save the macro to the file?

Open your file. Hold the Alt key and press F11. Find your Macro in PERSONAL. Copy it and paste it into the ThisWorkbook of your file.

I think I need to start over. I thought I was recording a macro, then editing it to clean it up. But what I've ended up with is an Office script instead of a VBA macro.

If you are starting over and recording a macro when the dialog box comes up make sure that you are set up to save it in This workbook
