the run option to run sql query disappears in ms access often

Hi,
I'm very new to access and sql. I'm trying to write sql in access using "create >> Query Design >> then SQL view
After writing query/command, I run it. The problem is very often the "run" option on top disappears. Then again I have to create a new query design to get it back.

It is hard to tell what is going on without seeing exactly what you are looking at. Which version of Access are you using?

Regardless, you shouldn't need to recreate it. There are other ways to run a query other than using the Run button. Here are three ways.

1. Double-click in its name under the Access Query Objects (usually in left-hand column)

2. If it is a Select Query, just change to Datasheet View

3. Run using the OpenQuery Action in a Macro

I'm using access 2007 and you solved my problem already. If I change to Datasheet View, I'm able to see output....Thanks..
