I have data from two water pumps - the data is given in start/stop times for the pump activation.
So in column A I have dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss and in column B; then "Start"/"Stop". So something like this for each pump...

I have this for two pumps (Pump A and Pump B) - each pump has its own pumping rate (Pump Rate A and Pump Rate B) (in litres / second) and in addition, when both pumps in operation at the same time, they pump with another pump rate (Pump Rate C).
Essentially I need to transform this data into a time series where each discrete time unit either has, Pump rate A, Pump Rate B, Pump Rate C or No Pump Active.
I also need a way of summing the total pumped volume between a given time period each day - so for the data available the total cumulative VOLUME (i.e. litres) pumped at each individual pump rate between 1am and 5am (or whatever time period is specified).
Any help / ideas would be much appreciated!!!
