Too many different cell formats

Afternnon all,

I have a run time error 1004. when I run a macro. The message says "too many cell formats"

The macro copies and inserts a row into a sheet.

All I have done is lock some cells in the destination sheet and now am getting this message.

I tried to undo the formatting but it won't allow me to do this and the same message in a message box appears "too many cell formats"

any help appreciated
