Assuming your ranges are in columns A1,B1,C1,D1 and your result is in column E1.

Format each cell as Time 13:30 and paste into E1:
Code:
=D1-A1-(C1-B1)

seems too easy?? put total hours in column E format the row that will contain results to time format like hh:mm:ss total hours = finish time-start time-(endlunch-startlunchtime) if the result would ever be more than 24 hours worked the format hh:mm:ss would roll over its limited to 24 hour clock but you could choose time format and pick the one from list that shows 37:30:55 or something like this. most ppl wont work so many hours though.
