I have a list of names and dates that I want put in a column format but the number of rows varies from person to person (see example). I tried vlookup but the the number of if thens became impossible to manage. This is something that needs to be done weekly and I don't want to have to transpose them manually each week.
Is there a formula I can use to get these rows to look like this? where the name and each date is in its own column
Smith, Bill Aug 10 Aug 17 Aug 24 Aug 30
Jones, Nancy aug 9 aug 11 aug 15 aug 21 aug 25 aug 31
doe, jane Aug 21
doe, john aug 10

What version of Excel are you using?
I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)
