I am using excel 2003, XP Pro. I am trying to create basic math worksheets for my second grader to complete on the computer. An example of what I am trying would be cell a1 value is 5, cell b1 value is 5. So he should be putting 10 for the value in cell c1. I wanted to have the validation of c1 change color or something if he puts in the incorrect value. But I can't make this work. The big question is, is this possible or am I barking up the wrong tree by using excel. Any thoughts on what I'm trying to do would be appreciated. I don't consider myself a pro user of excel but do feel I am a more advanced user. Thanks in advance :-? :-?

Hi

Select C1 then Format, Conditional Format, Formula Is, =a1+b1 = 10, select your format (say pattern = green), then save
