I am looking for a formula to find new sale price. In one column I have my current costs. (over 1,000 rows) In another column I have the GP%'s that I want to achieve (formatted as percent).
How would this formula look in excel?

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hi lmcwilliams,

In its simplest form Sales Price = Cost + Desired Profit
so if your cost is $10 and your desired profit % is 20% then your desired profit is $2. This doesn't account for fixed overheads (e.g. shop rent) or variable selling costs (e.g. sales representative wages).

If you have Cost and desired GP% then the formula is Sales Price = Cost + (Cost x GP%)
