I've created a function that will provide me with the end date of the previous month: [[Date]-Day(Date)] which would return 1/31/2016 in this case.

The problem I'm having is that when I enter that function to calculate against other date fields it comes up as a text and I get #error in the calculated field.

How can I resolve this?

Excel Facts

Control Word Wrap
Press Alt+Enter to move to a new row in a cell. Lets you control where the words wrap.
Try removing all the [], with those it could be that Access is seeing you expression as a field name rather than, well, an expression.
