Unique values in a Pivot Table

My Pivot Table contains the following elements...all about counting policies and customers as well as finding their premium and breaking it down with several other fields. I have one value (Rep) in the Rows. I have three values (policy, customer, premium) in the Values. There are a couple of Filter fields, but these are negligible to my problem. Unfortunately, my customer and policy count are the same and this is not correct. I know there are a set number of customers but it is counting them for each policy, not for each unique customer. How do I get this count in the Pivot Table?
