I want to use a macro to enter values into protected cells on a spreadsheet..

I get an error when I try to do this (which makes sense because I DID tell the sheet to protect those cells)

How can I keep those cells protected to the average end user, but allow my macro to enter values into those cells when a user presses my macro button?

your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Include code to turn off protection just before you enter the values, and then turn it on again immediately afterwards.

Presuming you are protecting the sheet via code (or even if not, tack it in), try including the UserInterfaceOnly arg. This allows running code to make changes, but not the user.
