Hello Everyone,
I am trying to use Vlookup accorss 2 workbooks. I've used the forumla wizard and while I have that open I can see the correct answer. But when I click OK I get the forumla NOT the answer in the selected cell.
Vlookup(B8,[Madison_Net_Test.xls]sheet1!,$A$2:$D$3018,4,0)
I'm sure I've done somethig wrong, can any of you see it?
Thanks in advance,
Rick

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
go to tools, options and on the view tab at the very bottom make sure that formulas isn't ticked in the windows options.

I was pretty sure it wasn't but I went in just to check.
I've used Vlookup with sheets in the same workbook but that makes that would make this workbook to large.
Thanks though.
