Userform resource guide

First time delving into userforms and am looking for resources, tutorials, training guides that you found particularly useful. I'm looking particularly how tips and techniques for populating a userform from a database query.

There's a multitude of sources out there, thus if I could "weed out the chaff", it would help tremendously.

I'm looking for general information as to the types of formatting that can be done, best practices, etc.

I have a good idea on the type of information to put into the form, but don't know what object works best for each type of data.
