I have two tables, one each on separate sheets. The first is a list of applicants - each with a unique identifying number.

The second is a list of references for those applicants. The references include the unique number of their applicant.

I'd like to include a column on the sheet of applicants that identifies the number of references that have been received for each applicant.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You can't see your headings in you image (please consider using the XL2BB add in in future) so let's assume the titles in both tables are "Applicants" and that the second table is called "Table2".

Thank-you very much for the help! My apologies for the poor images/descriptions.
