Using Find when value a link to another workbook

Hi All,

Really simple question for you:

I have a worksheet that I am using the 'find' function to locate a specific date, but the dates that are displayed are actually held externally; so the cell that displays (for example) "31/03/2011" actually contains "='[EncoreUKBaseload.xls]Price Data'!$A2173" which I believe is what is preventing the find function locate it.

How do I work around this issue without having to paste values?
