Using Power Query as a 'tool' to transform data

Hi, I have recently become aware of PowerQuery and it's capabilities. I currently have the need to transform certain data sets that are sent to me on a sporadic basis. This would include relatively simple things such as reorder columns, filter out certain records etc. My question is, can Power Query help with this? What I am ideally after is to create a tool that, when needed, I can fire up, import said dataset and then
