Validation from another worksheet

I want to create a drop down menu from another worksheet in my workbook. However when I select validation and list, it will not allow me to select the source from anywhere other than the worksheet I am in.

Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to the board

Give your list a name. Select it and choose Insert>Name>Define. Now in your data validation for refers to, enter =YourName. (Can't remember for sure if the = sign is needed)

Yes, the equal sign is critical. It won't work without it.
