Is there a way to list data from a dropdown list while typing into the designated cell, that can be copied to every row within a column.
ie if I start typing ... A, then lists all items within the list that has a "A" in it, then if I add say an "N" so that it looks like An, that all the items that contain An anywhere in the list reflects. So if it continues as Ano then list restricts to all entries that has ano in the word resulting in an increasingly shortened list to choose from.
Am happy with either a VBA solution or a process of formula steps that cater to Excell 2010.
The none-solution I have so far but does not pull up all the data is via a formula in the name function list
=OFFSET('data capture sheet'!$AA$5,,,COUNTIF('data capture sheet'!$AA$5:$AA$2000,"?*"))
based on an incremental value calculated using =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH('data capture sheet'!$G$5,D1186,1)),MAX($A$1,A1185)+1,0) where the cell being referenced is in G5. However a full list is not pulled through nor can I use this in rows following G5.
