VBA Code - Can I perform a DDE poke without a button click?

I am using Excel to read values from multiple PCs and I want to be able to poke a local desktop PLC with some values based off the values on the excel sheet.

Basically I want to trigger an event in another PLC without having to perform a button click.

If a value in one cell ( updated from a DDE / OPC Topic ) does not equal a value in another cell ( Manually inputted )--- poke a value into a different PLC without a button click.

I have not been able to find any examples of performing a poke without a button click.
