I have a list of text entries in various columns - I need to randomly select cells that contain text and add a "leading space" to the name. Looking for a simple VBA solution that would change the selected cells.

Example: Richard Result: "add 1 space"(followed by) Richard

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Try this:
VBA Code:
Sub AddSpace()

    Dim cell As Range

    Application.ScreenUpdating = False

    For Each cell In Selection
        cell = " " & cell
    Next cell

    Application.ScreenUpdating = True

End Sub
