VBA Code to make all formulas update?

I have a workbook with multiple sheets that have formulas on them that all rely on one sheet being updated manually... im noticing that for some reason the formulas dont always update... i have to actually click on the formula bar and click the green checkmark for it to update with the correct total... anyone know of a line of vba code i can put in my macro to force it to update whenever the macros are run? or have any idea what may be causing this to occur in the first place? Im using excel 2003 right now...
