Hi All
I'm writing a string of the form yyyy-mm-dd to a table using VBA.
The value is held in a string variable and is 100% a string.
It's been written to a table where the format of the particular column is 'general'.
No matter what I try, when the value is written Excel recognises it as a date and converts it.
I need it left as a string - how do I do this?
TIA
Si

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
What vba code are you using to write the text date?
