Hi there,

I found a great macro on the web that nearly does my job. But only nearly. Unfortunately this code is really high level, and I have no idea how to solve it. Super challenging!
You can download the file here:
orgaproblem
And what I would like to achieve is below: (see picture)
2020-06-12_10-56-36.png

Note that there is a limitation.
The children of G in the second table should only show once in the hierarchy otherwise it will be to messy.

Thanks for your help

Try this one, if it is still too small I will fix it...

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Also when I add more child, then the macro crashes saying this :

Can you please try on your side but I think I am not making mistake!!

I'm getting this using the original data, unmodified:

I meant I got these yellow, gray cells that overlapped with the organization chart. Didn't you get these?

This i did not check, as it is already an issue with the other... It is shame that I am on a different time zone... it makes is more challenging to solve it :)

Hi, people

I started a 12-hour shift at work, so during the next few weeks it will be difficult for me to properly investigate these issues. However, I will not abandon the thread and I hope you also remain here…

Aahahha.... good luck with your Work Worf. :)
No worries I will remain there! I think it is mainly the timezone that is killing us as I am in Europe.... You in Brazil i think... so it makes the overall complicated! but do-able :)

  • Try this new version. Note that the chart size can be controlled by the factor variable.
  • This post is for the resulting chart and the source table. The next one will display the code.
