My checkboxes (many of them) are linked in the same sheet. When the sheet is protected, I cannot use the checkboxes. I get the "The cell or chart you're trying to change is on a protected sheet. To make a change, unprotect the sheet."

So, can someone please share how to unprotect then protect the sheet when a checkbox is being checked/unchecked. They're form control checkboxes. Many thanks!

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Can't be done on-the-fly, you need to leave unprotected the linked cells (don't check the Blocked flag); but these cells can be hidden for the sake of 'security'.

PS. the above Blocked should be Locked , my bad translation.
