VBA - Userform with auto updating graph?

I was just curious if it's possible to add a graph into a userform that auto updates every couple of seconds. I've added graphs to userforms in the past by making the graph in a worksheet and then adding a picture of it to the userform, and I assume using the Application.Ontime DateAdd function I can update the picture however I want, but my real concern is if I'd be able to still work or do anything while the macro is running. Is there a way for it to update every few seconds in the background where it doesn't interrupt my work, or the operation of the userform?
