Hi there,

I am looking for a formula to look for the first two words to the left in a data table but also to be able to look for the first word to the left because not all lines have 3 words.

I used the below formula for Elite Bookkeeping and it works but when it has Elite Bookkeeping Services it doesn't work.

=VLOOKUP(LEFT("*"&A68&"*",SEARCH(" ","*"&A68&"*")-1),'JPs Corps'!A:B,2,FALSE)

Excel Facts

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Please upload and example file with XL2BB (it's very better) or image and show exactly what you want.
But I think this working:
Excel Formula:
=VLOOKUP(LEFT(A68,IFERROR(FIND(" ",A68,FIND(" ",A68)+1)-1,FIND(" ",A68)-1)),'JPs Corps'!A:B,2,FALSE)
