I need to write, I think, a VLOOKUP formula.

On one page, I have dates in one cell & next to that date, I have an amount. On the page, I want to write the formula, I have a tenant name in one cell. That same name is on the other page with the dates & amounts.

So what I want to write is this.

If tenant name on page 1 = tenant name on page 2, then what goes in this cell is the amount next to the date that is =< than the date next to it.

sorry, not real well explained what you're trying to get done, please be clear what the data on sheet 1 is and what the data on sheet 2 is supposed to be, so we'll understand how the vlookup should be constructed.
