I have a schedule sheet. Along the top are times, in the first column are names, and in the intersecting cells are classes (for instance, at 10 a.m. Jim Flynn is taking Chemistry). I want to list the schedule by class, so that the Classes are in the first column, the times across the top, and in the cells are the names of the people (so that at 10 a.m. you see that Jim Flynn and Laura Jones are taking Chemistry).
Vlookup allows me to use the existing sheet to find a single person who is taking Chemistry at 10, but not all people who are.
Any suggestions?

Thanks.:(

I am a little confused on how your want the names to appear. Will they all merge in one cell? For a quick class list you could use the Data Filter and then go to the column with the time you want and choose the class.

Thanks!
Here is the way it is in my worksheet:

Student 9a.m. 10a.m. 11a.m.
Jim Jones Chem Hist Art
Laura Smith Chem Math Art

Here is what I want to develop algorithmically:

Class 9a.m. 10a.m. 11a.m.
Art Jones, Smith
Chem Jones, Smith
Hist Jones
Math Smith

I can use Vlookup to get the first person in a class, but not to determine all people in the class. I think I'm close, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Thanks again for helping
