Hi,

I want to do a standard vlookup on a value in a column in spreadsheet 1 and populate a new column cell in that spreadsheet with a cell from spreadsheet 2.
But the value im looking up may be repeated a number of times in spreadsheet 2 over different rows.
Each time it is repeated, i would like a column in spreadsheet 1 to be filled with text from the second spreadsheet.

Any help please

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I believe this is the concept you are trying to achieve. If you can provide more info or a sample we can help you implement.

=IFERROR(INDEX($B$1:$B$22,SMALL(IF($A$1:$A$22=2,ROW($A$1:$A$22)),ROW(B1))),"") confimed with Ctrl + Shift + Enter (not just enter)
