I'm comparing two massive sets of data. I'd like to do a vlookup but in the few numbers that I have matched the vlookup doesnt work.

I found this number in both data sets: $245,712. This can be expanded to 245,711.55 or even 245,711.5500 etc. And they're both currency numbers. Not sure where the problem's coming from but is there an easy way to fix this so that I can do a vlookup on all numbers?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

first column of lookup table must be ascending or descending order

you can get round this by using offset match instead
