Hello,

I have one master workbook and then multiple seperate workbooks to which I want to do a vlookup. When the workbooks are open the vlookup works, but not when they are closed. This is the code. Thanks in advance!

=VLOOKUP([@[Batch Number]],'W:\Shared\Quality\Claims\Traceback data and PBI report\Wash & Pack Report.xlsx'!Wash_Pack[#Data],4,FALSE)

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try this

just check if automatic update of links is enable.

Select File > Options > Advanced. Under General, click to clear the Ask to update automatic links check box.
