Hi all,

I'm not good with VB so my question is "is it possible to use your sheet name say for instance "GOOG" for google to be filled in for the web query http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=GOOG+Historical+Prices so if i change the sheet name to say MSFT the query would change?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
I think the answer is 'No', because there is no event which catches the changing of a sheet name, so there is no way you could have code which changes the web query when the sheet name changes.

You could however, use a dynamic web query which changes automatically when the contents of a cell, say A1, changes. See http://www.jkp-ads.com/Articles/WebQuery.asp and
http://www.vertex42.com/News/excel-web-query.html. When the cell A1 changes you could then use the Worksheet_Change event to change the sheet name.
