what is the temp directory Excel gets opened in from Email?

I got a workbook in an email and opened it in outlook express.
i wound up editing it and saving it, but it turned out not to be the version i thought it was.
Where do those workbooks go that are edited from an email message and can they be recovered?

When you edited it, did you actually save the changes ?
If you saved the changes it should still be available in the E-Mail.
Mine always end up in C:\Temp.
But you can always open windows explorer and do a search for the file by name.
