When opening a file, file says "Linking:..."

I have a very large file that takes a long time to open for one reason, every time it attempts to open, the bottom toolbar (that displays progress in opening the file) shows "Linking:...". That file is not in any way relevant to the file I am attempting to open.

For example, if I have a file "Dogs.xlsx", and I try to open it, at the bottom toolbar it will say "Linking: Cats.xlsx".

There are no internal links referencing "Cats.xlsx" in equation form on any tab in the spreadsheet. There are no Names in the Name Manager referencing "Cats.xlsx".

I have copied and pasted my data's values into brand new workbooks with no luck. The "Linking..." continues to happen despite copying and Pasting as Value.

How do I remove this "Linking..." process that happens every time I open the file? Are there hidden links somewhere on the file that I have been unable to identify?

Any insight would be helpful.
