When pasting, only allow to use the first X columns

Hi all,

I have text that I paste in my sheet that takes about 10 columns. The problem is that the last column is a hyperlink.
I already have hyperlinks in other columns which activates a macro (sending email) when I click on it. Therefore when I paste the text,
the pasted hyperlink undesirable activates the macro (sending email).

So my question is how do I make a macro that allows me to only use the first 9 columns when I paste and therefore leaves out the last column that contains the hyperlink.

Welcome to the Board!

Seems to me that the easiest thing to do would be on the copy end, only copy 9 columns instead of 10!

However, on the paste side, you can "lock" the 10th column from editing so users cannot change anything in that column.
