I am trying to create a graph showing the years on the x-axis.

However, excel, keeps showing numbers 1-14 and not the years as it is supposed to.

Help

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
What the format of your years?
Have you chosen the column with the years?
Can you post some of your data?

Put years in one column (or row, but by column is a better habit to get into). Put the dollar values in the next column. Put a text label above the first dollar value, and a blank cell above the first year. The blank cell tells Excel that the first column (X values) and first row (series names) are special. Select this range and insert your chart.
