I am having a problem maintaining the value of check box data as "yes" or "no" instead of as "-1" and "0".
According to MS Access help:
When you select or clear a check box that's bound to a Yes/No field in a Microsoft Access database or a Bit column in a Microsoft Access project, Access displays the value in the underlying table according to the field's Format property (Yes/No, True/False, or On/Off).
However, if I set my field format to yes/no with the yes/no data type, I see the check box in the table, and when I run a report, the values remain -1, 0.
Likewise, I can switch my data type to text and keep the yes/no format, which works to change all the check boxes in the table to yes or no. However, when I enter more data using the check box control on the form, the newly entered data show up as -1, 0 again.
Egad! Why can't I just maintain the yes/no format??
Your help is appreciated!!
