yes old old..... Happy New Year

been using a button on my sheet to activate a macro now the button doesn't do anything in 2007?

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Have you confirmed that your Macro Settings have been updated to allow VBA/Macros?
Many times after an upgrade it defaults to disable ALL VBA/Macros, so you need to go in to the Trust Settings and update them.

Are you able to run a very simple macro in VBA in that workbook, something like this?
VBA Code:
Sub Test()
    MsgBox "Hello World!"
End Sub
If you manually run that, you should see the message pop up.

If that works, check to see if your button has a Macro assigned to it, and if not, re-assign your Macro to it.

ran a macros and it worked but the button doesn't even respond or select. tried sheet on different 2007 excel computer and it works and tried on yet another and it doesn't work? erased button and redid it and it works... what could be the problem? All the obvious settings on each computer check out to be the same. ?

It worked Monday but tuesday it didn't work. Probably not an answerable question from where you guys sit. Thanks anyway (just installed the office 2007 on the machine monday ... maybe an update occured monday eve)
