I have built a spreadsheet with TONS of Vlookup and Conditional formulas--so many that the status bar never shows "Ready" even following a complete calculation.
To make it user-friendly, I have code that puts it into manual calculation upon opening. I also added some code to calulate small portions of a worksheet at a time, an entire tab and the entire file. Users invoke the code from a form--it works great.
But I've come upon a problem that appears to only happen when I have the file saved as read-only: the file won't calculte. Whether trying to calc from my code or just hitting good ol' F9, the formulas will not calc (I have verified that data is changing that should make the calcs occur).
The only thing I that's different is the read-only save, but I've never heard of it affecting things like that. (Although the status bar will now show "Ready"). Can anyone confirm that this is the culprit?
